Looking for a simple and practical end-of-year teacher gift idea? This DIY pouch with a Target gift card, fun pen, and chapstick is thoughtful, easy to assemble, and always a hit with teachers.
Teacher Gift Idea
If you’re looking for a simple, affordable, and actually useful teacher gift idea to wrap up the school year, this one’s for you!
This time of year can be so busy, and putting together teacher gifts doesn’t need to be complicated. I wanted to create something that felt thoughtful and cute—but was also practical and easy to put together with just a few items. These little pouches were the perfect solution.
Inside each one, I included:
- A Target gift card (because who doesn’t love Target?)
- A glitter pom-pom pen for a little fun
- A chapstick—because teachers are always on the go and can never have too many!
I added a bit of festive ribbon and topped it off with a cute thank-you tag that says:
“Thank you for helping me grow! You are APPRECIATED more than you know!”
It all came together so sweetly. These gifts are perfect for preschool, kindergarten, or elementary school teachers—and honestly, would work just as well for coaches, staff, or classroom volunteers.

Easy Teacher Appreciation Gift
One of my favorite parts about this little end-of-year gift is how easy it is to customize based on what you have on hand or your budget. You could switch out the gift card, pick different ribbon colors, or add other small items like hand lotion or stickers.
The pouches are such a great size—they fit everything perfectly and look adorable when fully assembled. And since they come with a keychain clip, they’re super practical too.
This idea is:
- Affordable
- Thoughtful
- Easy to assemble
- Totally usable!
