Get the Modern Classic Look for Less!

My favorite home decorating style is a mix of contemporary modern and classic traditional. I think the two styles pair so well together and create a fresh, and casual atmosphere in a home. Whenever I’m browsing through Pinterest, “Modern Classic” is a style that I see all throughout designer homes. I love the look, but I don’t love the price!

I’m a big believer that you can have a stylish home on a regular budget. There’s no reason that you need to spend $90 on a pillow cover (for example) in order to have a beautiful home. That’s just crazy! So, I decided it was time to start figuring out how I could get that modern classic look for less.

Today I’m sharing my favorite modern pendant lights.

Pendant lights are most commonly seen above kitchen islands. Not only are they functional and practical, but they add a little bit of interest to the kitchen design. Most kitchens have a somewhat classic design. So, a great way to add in some personality is to add some trendy pendant lights!

We currently have some pendant lights in our kitchen that have a clear shade and show off the edison bulbs inside of the fixture. I like our pendants, but lately, I’ve been thinking about updating them to something a little more bold. Here are some of my favorites!

Modern Pendant Lights

I love the shape of this shade. It’s definitely unique and adds a ton of interest. I love the black finish, but my favorite part is the gold on the inside of the shade!

Copper is really trendy right now. I think it looks gorgeous with an all white kitchen. If you have a copper theme going in your kitchen, these modern pendants would look perfect!

This black pendant is a little bit smaller than the first one, so it would work better if you don’t have enough space for larger lights. It also has gold on the inside which I love!

This large white pendant is definitely a statement piece. It would look amazing next to dark kitchen cabinets. The design is a lot more modern than the others, and it even has copper on the inside!
