Since I started working on my comfortable and organized creative office makeover, I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect floor lamp.
One of the biggest things on my wishlist for the other half of my office was a reading nook area. I wanted a space with a big comfy chair and a reading light so I can relax and take some time for myself.
I was looking for a lamp that would provide just the right amount of light in my reading nook to make it feel relaxing.
Right now, the only light in the room is the overhead lights in the ceiling. Other than that, there’s no accent lighting in my office. So I really only have two options — darkness or the super bright overhead lights. Not exactly the best for creating that relaxing atmosphere!
I finally found an accent lamp that is perfect for my little reading nook area. And it’s so pretty!
I did lots of searching, which mostly involved wandering the aisles of Target trying to find the perfect lamp for this space. I had a few contenders that I almost bought, but I just didn’t feel like any of them really fit in with the rest of my office.
But then I found this Ella lamp from Brightech, and I couldn’t stop coming back to it!
The design of this floor lamp simple, modern, and feminine. It compliments the rest of the room design so well, it’s almost like it was made for this space.
I love the clean lines of the Ella lamp. The minimal design keeps the lamp from feeling too large and bulky. And it fits really well behind my reading chair.

I’ve been trying to add gold details into my office to make it feel more feminine. And the Ella lamp had the pretty gold metal mixed with the matte black shades. One of my favorite combinations!
The base is sturdy and heavy, so it won’t topple over easily.
And each of the arms can move independently. I can angle one light into my comfy chair and the other to provide light to the rest of the office.
